Emergency Rescue
WEFAA gives priority to emergency rescue of any injured animals.
At present, we are providing our rescue service as per the availability of volunteers in that area. We have around 300+ dedicated volunteers across Kerala who are wholeheartedly in the field to assist us in the rescue operations. We are treating the rescue animals at various hospitals as per the schedule. Each rescue will be unique and the schedule will be entirely different.
Dos
- If you find an animal in distress, first take it from the present location to a safe place and keep it under shade after following safety precautions
- Try to give water
- Inform the representative of the Local Self-Government body about the incident
- Try to contact animal welfare organizations in that area.
- If possible, take the animal to the nearest vet if you are in a position to do so.
