Process of Adoption
1. Identifying potential adopters
It is the primary and very important stage of the adoption process. The adoption manager will be entrusting volunteers in his department to coordinate the particular animal's adoption. The entrusted volunteer will select the potential adopter by contacting him directly and will collect more details about the adopter and his/her family background and ID proof for address will be collected. Copy of any of the proofs such as Voter’s ID, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport, PAN card, etc. can be submitted.
2. Verification of the address proof
The volunteer will be enquiring about the person and he/she will be explaining the terms and conditions of the adoption process.
3. Pre-house check
Our adoption team will be doing a pre-house check either physically or through video call. The team will be verifying the quality of life the adopted animal is going to get. A compound wall is mandatory and the animal should not be caged continuously for more than 4 hours. All the family members should accept the arrival and stay of their new furry family member and our team will be cross-checking the same.
4. Adoption
The volunteer will be enquiring about the person and he/she will be explaining the terms and conditions of the adoption process.
5. Post Adoption checks
Our team will be doing surprise house visits to verify the well-being of the animals in the new house. The adopter cannot stop our team visit for any reason as he has signed the form with the above-mentioned terms and conditions.
Terms and conditions
- If the dog is an adult wefaa medical team will be sterilizing the animal before adoption.
- If the animal is young or not fit for sterilization during the adoption process then the adopter has to bring the animal for sterilization when our team feels the animal is safely sterilized.
- No further breeding or transfer of ownership of the pet is allowed.
- The adopter needs to contact the Wefaa adoption team regarding any health condition or help required.
- They should cooperate with pre-and post-adoption checks.
- Adopter shall not abandon under any circumstances without prior consultation with the wefaa adoption team.
